Fionet Origin

We are from Canada, yet when developing Fionet Suite we focused on Africa. We made a judgment that African partners would be more forward-looking for transformational use of mobile technologies, as Africans demonstrated in mobile currency, for example.

Our rationale has proven correct - when community healthcare rose to critical importance, during COVID for example, what we innovated in Africa was sought out in North America, Europe, and elsewhere. We have worked with Canada’s dominant lab company, France’s leading diagnostic technology company, and the US Department of Defense agencies such as DARPA and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. When they required a decentralized healthcare IT platform, they chose Fionet.

Why We’re Here

Cutting the performance gap between major medical centers and community healthcare — between where healthcare happens best and where it happens most — will change the world for patients, healthcare workers, healthcare providers, healthcare funders, and governments.

Forces have aligned as never before to make it possible. COVID has accelerated demand for community-based services. Technological innovation is supplying new tools with which to do it.

We’re committed to working with clients who are poised to take this transformative step.

Fionet Values

1 Honesty

Be honest with yourself about yourself, especially about accountability.

Be open with others about what you think. Discuss the undiscussable.

Read reality as it is, not as you fear it to be or would like it to be.

2 Caring

Care about and support teammates.

Care about those who buy, use, and could be helped by our products.

Care about shareholders and business partners. We didn’t get here, nor can we get there, alone.

3 Frugality

Abhor waste. Challenge activity that adds no value.

Seek positive motives for effort.

Value profit.

4 Preparation

Learn. Know what you’re talking about.

Listen - there is always something important that you don’t know. Prize people who know what they’re talking about.

Plan imaginatively and rigorously.

5 Impact

Make and keep commitments. Never give up.

Favor originality. If we’re going to be like everyone else, what does the world need us for?

Deliver excellence. Think and act past the nominal point of completion of a task to its impact.
